Why choose our TEFL course?
Believe it or not, there isn’t one single agency, organization or governing body that sets TEFL standards around the world. Almost every TEFL supplier will state (on their websites), that their course adheres to ‘Internationally Recognized’ TEFL standards. So, what does this mean? Well, the general TEFL certification requirements are fairly homogeneous, in as much that they necessitate a minimum of 100 hours of in-classroom training and at least six hours of observed teaching practice. In addition, ‘adhering to internationally recognized standards’ may also mean that the supplier, is a paid up member of one or more professional associations. However, very few of these associations actually assess course content, or visit their members to check on the standards of their facilities. If they do, they are unlikely to ‘flunk’ or disapprove of the TEFL providers, who are paying them substantial membership fees.
The burning question that you must ask yourself is, “If I take this particular course, will it help me get a job and will it meet the standards of the Ministry of Education and the schools in the country where I want to work?”
At the Britannia School, we can assure you that all our trainees experience training standards that are fully approved, by The Thai Ministry of Education, and educational establishments all over the world.

OK, so what else sets our course apart from the other TEFL providers whose courses also meet international TEFL requirements?
At the Britannia School, we are constantly aware that teaching is not just about academic qualifications. Being intellectual doesn’t automatically mean you will be a good teacher. As a teacher you need to be a person as well, and to share your personality with your classroom. By doing this, you will make your lessons interesting and enjoyable; it will also help you to produce better results. A good teacher is an entertainer, someone who loves his job and cares more about his students learning and progress, than his own ego.
Our TEFL course places great emphasis on the practical side of teaching. We will focus on finding that particular spark within your own character, which will ignite your personality, thus generating your own effective, individual teaching style. We will also build your confidence through different activities and exercises, specifically structured to do this.
Consequently then, it’s not all about qualifications and diplomas. Through our guidance, we will help you find the teaching traits that are lurking within you. Our training will then develop these qualities until you have the ability to teach confidently, professionally and successfully.
So, if your ready to experience a different culture, then change your job and your life, by enrolling on our TEFL Teacher Training course today.
